On this page you will find some general settings for creating a Dial Up internet connection on your computer. The settings are only meant as a giude and you should check witrh your ISP for correct information.
How To Set Up a Dial Up Connection
On your desk-top, double-click the My Computer icon.
Double-click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.
Type a name for to identify your connection then click Next
Enter the dialup number you have been issued with then click Next
Click Finish to complete the new connection setup.
Once complete you need to alter the DNS settings.
Click on the Server Types tab
Ensure the only boxes ticked are Enable software compression and TCP/IP
Click on TCP/IP Settings... and fill out the following details.
Primary DNS: 194.238.48.3
Secondry DNS: 194.238.48.2
Error Codes
| 676 - | The line is busy. |
| 679 - | Cannot detect carrier. |
| 680 - | There is no dial tone. |
| 650 - | The Remote Access server is not responding. |
| 691 - | Access denied because username and/or password is invalid on the domain. |
| 797 - | A connection to the remote computer could not be established. |
